If the chargers prevail, we will move on to the world FRC competition in St. Louis, Missouri. Come on Chargers lets finish strong!

UPDATE FOR SATURDAY April 16, 2016: Our team 4189 Chargers worked very hard through the entire 2015-2016 season. Unfortunately we were not chosen by another team to join their alliance in the state finals at UGA, therefore the Solar Chargers are now finished with their long journey. We want to sincerely thank our Mentors and Sponsors for helping us create and compete with "Helios", the one of a kind robot! This concludes the Team 4189's season of 2015-2016.

Kennesaw FRC District Qualifer

The Kennesaw FRC District Qualifier was tough. Helios met some new opponents that gave it a serious challenge, but we made it through anyway. We did not place where we wanted, but we learned valuable lessons and strategies that we will use at State. The next competition will be on April 14-17 at UGA in Athens. Click Here to see pictures from the Kennesaw Event.

Dalton Qualifier Event- We made Second Rank!

Our team 4189, worked very hard during the build season to construct our robot: Helios. The team's dedication shined bright during our first 2016 event in Dalton Ga, because we made second rank out of 28 FRC Competitors! We want to thank our Mentors and students for their contribution, and hope to see that same success at Kennesaw!

Making Progress!

We have been making a lot of progress the past few weeks as this build season is coming to a close in just a week! We currently have a driveable robot and are working on implementing the electrical system and shooter onto our frame. Our programming is looking very good this year too. We plan on having the robot ready by this weekend to attend a scrimmage! Pictures and video from the scrimmage will be uploaded next week so stay tuned!

New Sponsors!

We are very thankful for our new sponsors who are definitely going to help our program succeed this year! Our new sponsors are American Security Shredding, and Philips electrical. We are also very thankful to receive the Women In Technology grant for the second year in a row! Our girls are a huge part of our team and this helps to provide more opportunities to grow in this industry!

Programming Breakthrough!

This week has definitely been an amazing week for our programming team. Our programming head, Will, stated, "We successfully implemented ultrasonic range finders for autonomous."  They found an awesome way to advance our autonomous strategy and we cannot wait to see where this step will take them!

Thank You so much to the Ellett family for their donation! Your continued support throughout the years, and you students we have on our team are something we truly cherish! Your donation will go to great use!
